In cultivation for over 100 years now, this variety has stood the test of time.  Matures early, so increases the chances of getting a good crop even in a poor Summer.

Sowing instructions:

Sow from January onwards. Sowing in individual cell modules works best, cover lightly with compost and place on a sunny windowsill or heated greenhouse. Germination takes 14 to 21 days. Pot on when large enough to handle. 

Growing instructions:

Best grown in a greenhouse or polytunnel, but can also be grown in open ground in a warm, sunny position. Pinch out the growing tip when plants reach 30cm to encourage them to bush out.
